Decorated Products: Tread Act Tire Labels

In September of 2005, regulations took effect in the US that require a vehicle/’s gross weight be calculated after a change in the original tires for the vehicle, or any other changes (roof racks, trailer hitches & trailers etc.) are attached to a vehicle.

Decorated Products has developed standard Tread Act Labels that meet the Federal requirements, and can be filled in by automotive industry professionals who want to ensure that they comply with this safety mandate.

Our Tread Act tire labels are manufactured of .002" metalized polyester with a .0005 computer imprintable coating.

Labels are provided on bulk rolls or in 8 x 10.5" sheets of 10 to the following specifications:

- 2" X 3.75" die cut labels with excess material removed
- coating will accept most indelible ink pens and laser imprinting
- permanent acrylic adhesive backing
- excellent characteristics on metal and plastic
- coated liner
- recommended application temperature is 50F or above
