May 11, 2007- Decorated Products of Westfield is this years’ recipient of the Affiliated Chambers of Commerce of Greater Springfield’s Pioneer Valley Business Excellence Award (PVBEA).

This prestigious award is modeled after the criteria of the Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award, known as America’s highest honor for performance excellence. The Business Excellence award is based on the belief that quality management is the key to this country’s prosperity and long term strength.

“We were able to reach the high expectations of this award because of our staff’s outstanding commitment to quality and excellence”, says Decorated Products President, Jeffrey Glaze.

The PVBEA is given to one business in the service industry, one in the manufacturing industry, and to an individual citizen. The award recognizes excellence in Customer Service, Process Improvement, Leadership, Human Resources, Business Results and Information Sharing. The PVBEA “Torch of Excellence” will be awarded at the ACCGS Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony on Thursday, June 21, 2007 at the Springfield Marriott.

AUGUST 14, 2007- Jean Duda, 82 of Westfield, was surprised earlier today by her friends, family, and co-workers as they gathered to celebrate her 50 year anniversary at Decorated Products.

Jean was presented with the “Jean Duda Award for Service Excellence”, an award that will be awarded annually to a staff member who exemplifies qualities like her own, including dedication to the company, professionalism, and teamwork.  Jean was also given a lapel pin that highlights 50 years of service with 5 rubies and the Decorated Products name. Even though Jean has been at Decorated Products for 50 years, she’s not ready to retire yet. Jeff Glaze, Decorated Products’ President, gave Jean her own parking spot with her name on it, so she knows she always has a place at the company. 

“Jean is the kind of person every business owner hopes to hire. She is incredibly dedicated, hardworking, and good natured. Her presence at the company will be sorely missed when she decides to retire”, says President Jeffrey Glaze.

When asked why she’s worked at Decorated Products so long, Duda says, “I think the main reason I’ve stayed so long is the people.  We’re a team, like a family and everybody depends on everybody else.  I’ve enjoyed it here and everyday I look forward to tomorrow.”

Duda’s daughter, Dale Clink, also a staff member at Decorated Products, is following in her mother’s footsteps, celebrating her 17th year with the company this September.

Other staff members being recognized today were Astra Vilinskis, who retired last week after 36 years. She served in many departments throughout the years, ending her career as Personnel Manager. Marilyn Nimerowski was acknowledged as well for her 19 years in the Customer Service department.

New at Decorated Products……California ARB Clean Skies Initiative Labeling

December 4, 2007, Westfield, MA:  Decorated Products announced today that they have received initial approval for supplying a unique holographic label to manufacturers of diesel engines to comply with the California ARB Clean Skies initiative labeling requirements for 2008.  This label is a sophisticated hologram manufactured to be tamper evident to prevent unauthorized users from displaying this label.  The label is required for diesel engines that pass the California emissions requirement for idling operations.  

Manufacturers who have ARB compliant engine systems should contact Decorated Products to begin the process of developing their own marking requirements in anticipation of January 2008 roll out of this regulatory requirement.

Decorated Products is a 57 year old manufacturer of nameplates, decals, roll labels, and digital graphics and is a TS-16949 Tier One vendor to the United States automotive and truck industry. 

These labels can only be supplied to manufacturers of diesel engines who make submission to the California Air Resources Board.  Individuals cannot purchase them from us.
